DON'T WASTE YOUR VOTE
If there is one thing that is clearer than ever, it is that Scotland needs independence more than ever. Recently at an election meeting I asked the audience to name anything that was better now than it was in 2014 after the referendum. Zilch, nada, nothing. In fact everything is worse. Cost of living, energy costs, housing, NHS waiting times, social care, local government services et al, all worse.
The United Kingdom is in terminal decline and Scotland is being dragged down with it. The painful reality is that decline will continue until Scotland is a free country complete with full political and economic powers and control over our natural resources.
I've never seen and I don't know anybody else who has seen, such levels of both apathy and despair at a general election. Ironically as a candidate in the election I have never watched less political debate. I haven't watched because I know exactly what they will say and I know none of it matters. Until Scotland is free nothing will change. You can change government party and it will make no difference. The same parties will be back next time in 5 years and they will be arguing over the same things.
That is why I say don't waste your vote, particularly your 2nd vote, the regional list vote. Looking purely at the negative, why vote for the Alliance To Liberate Scotland? Some people say why vote for ATLS, you wont get any seats. Well, I can't guarantee we will get seats. We have polling that says that we will but I appreciate it isn't from one of the main polling companies but then again they don't include us in their questionnaires anyway.
But from the purely negative point of view, what are your options? Vote 1 & 2 for the SNP? Unless you are an SNP sheep or a complete cretin you know that because they will win a large number of Constituency seats they have very little chance of winning Regional List seats and no chance here in the West of Scotland Region. Vote Scottish Green? Apart from the fact they are economically illiterate and seriously confused about the difference between boys and girls, what are their independence credentials? All you really need to know is that in a 136 page long manifesto, independence doesn't receive a mention, and it is a very short mention, until page 125.
So quite frankly even from the negative point of view you have absolutely bugger all to lose from voting for the ATLS. The positive side though is that ATLS is a REAL indy party. It may be a new party, it may be a small party but it is packed with life experience, campaign experience, political nous and genuine vision. A party with a plan to give the Scottish people a choice of their future beyond meekly asking Westminster for a referendum and running away with their tail between their legs when they are told to piss off.
So don't waste you vote. The fightback has to start somewhere and it starts with your vote on May 7th, don't waste it. Vote Alliance To Liberate Scotland.
